A | (ECNS) -- China’s e-commerce logistics index fell 0.2 points from June to 111.2 in July, as major online promotions ended and demand returned to normal levels, the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing said Tuesday. Despite the seasonal pullback, logistics efficiency and service quality continued to improve. The inventory turnover index rose 0.4 points from June, marking its third consecutive monthly increase. The overall business volume index stood at 128.4, down 0.2 points from June. Summer demand supported sales of air conditioners, dehumidifiers and handheld fans, while smartphones and computers also sold well. The federation said the sector is expected to stabilize in August as summer consumption continues and policies to boost consumption take further effect. (By Helen Mo, intern Yang Hongran)
