Xinjiang port sees over 59,000 train departures from China to Europe, Asia_我的网站

A |     (ECNS) -- Horgos Land Port in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region has handled more than 59,000 freight trains from China to Europe and Asia, according to Xinjiang railway authorities on Thursday.    Over 6,000 freight trains have passed through the port so far this year. To ensure efficient train clearance, Horgos Customs has worked with railway operators, leveraging technical tools to inspect and release upon arrival for freight trains, lifting overall customs‑clearance efficiency by more than 50%.    “During peak arrival periods for freight trains, we have cut the shortest port clearance time to under 30 minutes,” said Cai Guangxu, an official at Horgos Station, China Railway Urumqi Bureau Group Co Ltd.    Up to now, 91freight train routes to Europe and Asia run via Horgos Land Port, reaching 46 cities and regions across 18 countries, carrying more than 200 categories of goods.    (By Xu Wenda, Zhang Dongfang)                    。    (ECNS) -- The 2026 Chinese Culture Carnival launched Thursday in London’s Chinatown, offering immersive workshops to connect BritishChinese youth with their heritage.    Hosted by Guangxi University and organized by the UK Chinese Arts Centre, the 10day program features martial arts, folk songs, calligraphy and crafts such as embroidered balls and porcelain painting.    Mao Zhicheng, director of the UK Chinese Art Centre, noted that Chinese culture serves as a vital spiritual bond for Chinese communities worldwide.
